Lifelong artist Melissa T. creates unique, colorful scrappy patchwork out of her cottage studio in the foothills of Northern New Jersey. The patches are then sewn onto upcycled clothes such as denim jackets and shirts, jeans, skirts and flannel. Some have colorful hand embroidery stitching and /or hand painted accents. Handmade bags and pouches of all sizes, tiedyed shirts, dog bandanas and holographic stickers can all be found at her stand.
Mel also enjoys many other artistic interests including spinning yarn, crochet, throwing miniature pottery, making miniature furniture and acessories for dollhouses, sewing tiny Blythe doll clothes, painting with watercolor, oil and acrylic and more.
Dizzy Dahlia was started in 2012, when Melissa was first diagnosed with Chronic Lyme Disease. Back then she was selling her hand dyed handspun yarn and crochet items at local Farmers Markets and craft festivals.
You can find her selling her work at local markets, festivals and concerts out of her converted shuttle bus, the TARDIS.
